Upstream AI provider policies
Last updated: 2026-05-15
Pikkot's sticker-generation pipeline calls third-party AI models. Each provider operates under its own acceptable-use policy, and our Terms of Service §7 requires you to comply with the policy of every provider whose model is invoked on your behalf. This page lists the providers currently in (or reserved for) the request path with a direct link to their published AUP and the date we last audited it.
If a provider tightens their policy between our audit dates, you remain responsible for compliance with the published version at the time you submit a generation request. Material changes that affect the prompts or content categories Pikkot supports will be reflected in our pre-generation moderation; cosmetic changes typically are not.
| Provider | Our use | What we send | AUP | Last checked |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Anthropic (Claude) | Pack planning, content moderation of reference images and themes | Reference image (moderation only), theme text, planner prompts | Provider AUP → | 2026-05-15 |
| Google (Vertex AI — Imagen / Gemini) | Sticker image generation, character previews | Reference image, generation prompts | Provider AUP → | 2026-05-15 |
| fal.ai | Background-removal model runtime | Generated sticker images (for background segmentation only) | Provider AUP → | 2026-05-15 |
| OpenAI | Reserved standby capacity for future features; not currently in the active request path | No user data sent today | Provider AUP → | 2026-05-15 |
Common forbidden categories (non-exhaustive)
All providers above prohibit, at minimum: child sexual abuse material; non-consensual sexual imagery; impersonation of identifiable real people without consent; generation of violent extremist content; content that infringes third-party IP; and bypassing the provider's safety classifiers. Pikkot's own pre-generation moderation refuses prompts that would clearly trigger an upstream rejection, but the provider's check is the final word.
If a provider rejects your prompt
A pre-generation moderation rejection ends with the order not being created and (for paid orders that already completed checkout) a refund per Terms §8. A post-generation provider rejection (rare, model-internal) is treated as a pack failure and refunded under the same clause.
